  1. The Complete Idiot's Guide to Calculus -- Despite the name, we've found the "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Calculus" an enjoyable and simple read. It teaches you the essentials and avoids all the nitty-gritty that no one cares about at the beginning. By doing so, it avoids overwhelming beginners to calculus with too much information. And it does so while being funny and also providing an occassional technique that most calculus textbooks do not bother showing (check out the "tabular method!"). Highly recommended for beginners.
  2. The Manga Guide to Calculus -- Just as the title claims to be, this is "The Manga Guide to Caculus!" It's a nice, fun way to build an intuitive understanding of calculus. And let us tell you, the intuition behind caculus is far more important than simply being able to robotically calculate problems. Its downpoint: it can be difficult for absolute beginners and you're not going to get nearly enough practice solving problems (luckily, you have our site for that!), So, we recommended you couple this book with some sort of textbook.
  3. The Humongous Book of Calculus -- In case you want even more problems than can be found on this site, you can probably satiate your cravings with "The Humongous Book of Calculus." That said, we also solve problems in a different manner, and on the off chance that our explanations were not to your satisfaction, please feel free to check out this fantastic resourse.
